Assalamualaikum w.b.t..
Now I want to
tell you all about my favourite festival, as you can see my big title up
there. As you know, Malaysia is a country of multi-ethnic society practising
multi-culturalism and multi-religion. Each ethnic group practises its own
religion and belief which means various festivals are celebrated throughout the
year. These festivals are usually celebrated either nationwide or at state
level. "Open house" concept is practise almost all the
festivals, which means inviting relatives and friends to partake in the food
and festivity occasion. Some of these festivals are public holidays. Malaysian
have many festival and bigger festival such as Hari Raya Puasa is celebrate by
Malay, Chinese New Year to Chinese and Deepavali to Indians.
I as a Muslim
people and of course, my favorite festival is Hari Raya Puasa. Muslims
signifies the end of the fasting season of Ramadan for a month. The celebration
is determined by sighting of the new moon. This is the most significant
celebration for the Muslims. At first raya, houses are thoroughly cleaned
and decorated with the lighting of oil lamps.
The celebration
lasts for a month which the celebration is concentrated in the first three
days. Muslims starts the day by congregating in the mosques early in the
morning to perform Hari Raya Puasa prayers followed by visits to the graves of
the departed. That's the always my family do at the first raya and I will
visited my late grandfather and grandmother. After that, my family and
relatives will gathering in one house and will ask for forgiveness from elders.
In my family, everyone who not working will receive money from uncle and aunty
as reward because full fasting in a month of Ramadan. I think all family was
same with my family. I feel very happy at that day with all my big family.
That’s all for
my favorite festival, okay bye.. ^_^
